about

In May of 2020, Spitfire Audio teamed up with HBO to run a scoring competition. Participants were presented with a scene from Episode 5 of the 3rd season of Westworld, and the winning entries would be selected by composer Ramin Djawadi, producer JJ Abrams, and writers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. 11,000 entrants, just 6 winners. I was not one of them.

I spent about 1 month, on and off, on my entry. I attempted to best reflect the pacing and mood of the chase scene by making use of lots of 7/8 timing, heavy percussion, and a driving arpeggiated synth line. I hope you enjoy!

(Bonus points if you can work out the origin of the title '2135'.)

Hi, friend. Thanks for stopping by. I am a composer from the Blue Mountains, Australia with big aspirations but small ambitions. My music draws inspiration from a melting pot of jazz, Hans Zimmer, metal, Brian Eno, folk, IDM, Robert Fripp, Ólafur Arnalds and more- I hope you find something to love in my compositions!
